what this site collects, and what it does not
What we collect, how consent works on this site, and what rights you have over your data. Analytics is off until you accept, and the advertising signals are never asked for at all.

PetraTourFromAmman.com ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. It describes what this site actually does; where it names a specific mechanism, that mechanism is what is running.
We collect the minimum needed to run the site:
We do not collect payment information. Bookings are taken by GetYourGuide on their own platform; we never see or store card details, and there is nothing on this site to pay for.
This site uses Google Analytics 4 under Google Consent Mode v2. When you first arrive, every consent signal is set to denied before the Google library is loaded — analytics storage, and the three advertising signals — so nothing is stored and no measurement happens until you choose.
If you accept, analytics storage is granted and nothing else is. The three advertising signals stay denied permanently: the banner does not offer to grant them, because this site runs no advertising and has no use for them. If you decline, or ignore the banner, analytics stays off.
Your choice is stored in your own browser, in local storage, under the key ptfa_consent. It never leaves your device and we cannot read it. To change your mind, clear this site’s stored data in your browser settings and the banner will ask again.
We set no cookies of our own. Google Analytics sets its own once you have accepted analytics, and not before. Third parties set their own cookies on their own domains — GetYourGuide does this when you follow a booking link and arrive on their site, which is how a referral is credited to us; that happens under their policy, on their domain, after you have left ours.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. Data is shared only with the service providers named above, where required by law or to protect legal rights, or in the event of a business transfer.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its processing, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing analytics consent needs no email: clear this site’s stored data and choose again. For anything else, write to [email protected].
We keep personal data only as long as it is needed for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires. Email correspondence is kept for about a year.
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
The services named above operate internationally. If you visit from outside the country where those servers are located, your information may be transferred to, stored in and processed in another country.
We may update this policy. Changes are posted on this page and the date at the top is updated with them.
