أهلاً وسهلاً ahlan wa sahlan [welcome] · the catalog
Sixteen Petra tours from Amman, from a $76 day trip to a $706 four-day loop, rated 4.9 on average across 4,109 GetYourGuide reviews. Day trips are 3–3.5 h each way on the Desert Highway; anything with a night in Jordan cuts the Petra ticket from 90 to 50 JOD.
Cheapest here, from $15: check dates
The honest line: we print the minuses as loudly as the pluses. Stay a night, pay 50 not 90.

03Price at a glance
Cheapest first. Bar length is the "from" price; colour is the group, never a verdict. The $15 hub and the $706 four-day loop sit on the same ladder; the DIY row is a range.
Per person unless the card says otherwise (384902 is per vehicle; 493355 is a hub of short trips, not a Petra tour). The Petra ticket, 50 or 90 JOD, sits on top of most of these prices.

06Read before you book
Four traps we see in every "from" price on this page. Each one is a line in the listing you have to read yourself.
Most "private tours" are a driver who waits at the gate. Only 203380 prices a licensed guide inside Petra.
The $93 airport transfer is per vehicle; group tours are per person. Compare the total for your party, not the tag.
Classic, deluxe, bubble. Here the bubble-tent loop ($205) is cheaper than classic/deluxe ($275). Grade is not price.
The Petra ticket is rarely included: 50 JOD with a night in Jordan, 90 same-day, 55 for two days, 60 for three. Jordan Pass 70 / 75 / 80 JOD.
07Questions & answers
We list 16 that meet our rule (50+ reviews, or the only one of its kind): 15 Petra tours from $76 to $706, plus one hub of short private trips out of Amman from $15 that is not a Petra tour and is labelled as such. GetYourGuide lists more; most have too few reviews to judge.
One question: do you sleep in Jordan? A night drops the Petra ticket from 90 to 50 JOD and adds Wadi Rum. A day trip is 6–7 h on the road for one afternoon inside.
Every tour here cancels free up to 24 h before on GetYourGuide. A date change is a cancel-and-rebook.
Petra closes the Siq in heavy rain because of flash-flood risk, and the risk is real in winter. What we can promise is the booking side: every tour listed here cancels free up to 24 h before, so a bad forecast the day before costs you nothing. What the operator does on the day — reschedule, refund or continue — is set per listing; read the cancellation section of the one you pick.
Usually not. Budget 50 JOD if you sleep a night in Jordan, 90 JOD if you come and go the same day. Each listing states its inclusions in the "What’s included" section; where a tour does include the ticket, its card here says so.
Because it has 3 reviews or fewer. We print the count next to every rating, and we do not rank on three opinions.
